We wanted to let the Potomac River paddlers, rowers, boaters, and general community know that there are two new deadheads near the mouth of the upriver cut going behind Roosevelt Island (also known as “Little River”. These submerged trees tend to be visible at higher tides, but also can easily be invisible with higher water.
The first deadhead is more upriver and is directly downriver from the first arch of Key Bridge on the Virginia shore. The other is a double deadhead with two submerged trees in the main travel lanes.
